Awful day made worse by the Big Shu being fatally injured. 5th horse I've backed that's died in the last few weeks.

Anyone recommend a decent site for football stats showing last 6 games home and away form on one page? Used to use football365 but that's changed.

Re: Weekend Bets...
Anyone fancy Champagne Fever will stay the Gold Cup distance and what say you on backing it now, ahead of the the King George, in case the price gets smashed?

Seems to have had a lot of money thrown at it or is it just the Mullins factor?

Re: Weekend Bets...
tunwhu - champagne fever

Personally I think it is unlikely to stay the distance. The gold cup is a slog, just look at last years, and champagne fevers best runs have come over around 2 miles. I'm not sure if a supreme novices winner has ever won the gold cup. Looking at the betting the 10/1 price reflects that it's a mullins horse and the hope that it might stay but also the fact that at the moment there aren't many class horses at that distance. Bob's Worth, Silvanaco Conti, and Lord Windermere are entitled to be up there in the betting but outside of that something needs a fantastic 3 months to be considered. I'll be there on the day and will probably back Bob's Worth if he turns up. I'll probably see him finish 15 lengths second to champagne fever having written all that!!

Toby Atkinson better be stronger this time the little slag, as I'm on Danny!

Got 2's, though no idea if it was bigger earlier.

Re: Weekend Bets...
Cheers Witchy,,,always good to hear somone elses view on these things.

The Mullins reputation does seem to go to people's pockets a lot these days. He's had / got some great horses, most unbackable at their prices, and this would seem too good to be true if it were the real deal. I'm sure it would be a lot shorter if the Irish punters were confident.

Think I'll wait. Tenious link, but the dam is 'Forever Bubbles' for what it's worth which makes it warrant a couple of quid anyway with my sophisticated betting strategy!
